Scholarships
Our Sandi Sumbry Scholarship honors the lifelong commitment to education and selfless service by one of our foundation's charter members. Sandi Sumbry retired from Hawaii's public school system after 40 years of teaching. She continues to mentor the young and seasoned alike in many ways across the country.
Since its inception, the Pearls of Paradise Foundation has provided financial assistance by way of scholarships to deserving high school students. ​

Our endowment secures funding for years to come as families of color face an increasingly difficult pathway to a higher education; many go on to incur insurmountable debt. Our mission to provide scholarships compliments our commitment to financial freedom. It augments school curricula beyond college admission and career guidance to enable young people to hone their talents, avoid pitfalls and make positive contributions to society. 100% of our members are college graduates and accomplished professionals in various fields to include education, government, finance, law, medicine, the technology sector and more. All offer invaluable guidance through personal experience and many have experience in higher education.
